HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính chaired a meeting in Hà Nội to congratulate and assign tasks to newly-appointed Deputy Prime Ministers Nguyễn Hoà Bình, Hồ Đức Phớc, and Bùi Thanh Sơn, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Đỗ Đức Duy, and Minister of Justice Nguyễn Hải Ninh. Attending the meeting were Politburo members: National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn; Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Chairman of the PCC's Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Đình Trạc; and Minister of National Defence Gen. Phan Văn Giang; together with Secretary of the PCC and Chairman of the PCC's Commission for External Relations Lê Hoài Trung; Chairman of the PCC's Commission for Economic Affairs Trần Lưu Quang; and incumbent Deputy PMs Trần Hồng Hà and Lê Thành Long, among others. The PM expected that the newly-appointed officials would seriously follow the directions given by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam when he handed down appointment decisions to them earlier the same day. He urged them to leverage their strengths and work experience to collaborate effectively with the Government so as to uphold its rich traditions and past successes. The PM called for their unity, discipline, integrity, innovation and drastic actions to join hands with the Government to effectively accomplish assigned tasks, especially meeting the goals set by the 13th National Party Congress, providing dedicated service for the nation and its people. This, he said, would ultimately contribute to the interests of the Party and the nation, the development and prosperity of the country and the well-being and happiness of the people. Speaking on behalf of the newly-appointed officials, Deputy PM Nguyễn Hoà Bình said these are their great honour as well as their huge responsibility before the Party, State and people. He pledged to continually strive to maintain and uphold unity and consensus, and join hands with the Government to excellently fulfil assigned tasks and contribute to the successful implementation of the 13th National Party Congress’s Resolution. — VNS |
