PM warns Đà Nẵng Chairman over violations

HÀ NỘI – Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has issued an official warning to Đà Nẵng People’s Committee Chairman Huỳnh Đức Thơ over joint responsibility in violations and shortcomings in land and urban management.
A report by the Inspection Commission of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee, has said that Thơ, who is also Deputy Secretary of the Đà Nẵng municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Party delegation to the municipal People’s Committee, was jointly responsible for violations and shortcomings committed by the municipal Party Committee Standing Board in its 2015-2020 tenure.
And as the leader of the municipal People’s Committee, he held main responsibility for violations and shortcomings in land and urban order management, the report said.

He was also found to have not been proactive in submitting proposals on hiring personnel for some agencies in the city’s administration to the municipal Party Committee.

Thơ had earlier received a warning from the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission. — VNS
