International visitors (currently living and working in Vietnam) reached about 15,000 arrivals, down 97% compared to the same period in 2020. Local accommodation facilities welcomed roughly 385,000 staying guests, down about 31% over the same period last year.

Revenue from tourism throughout the first 6 months reached only 885 billion VND, a plunge of 65% compared to the same period in 2020 and only a fifth of annual revenue in 2019.
