Before the pedestrian quarter of Pham Ngu Lao – Chu Van An – Vo Thi Sau streets officially comes into operation on three weekend nights,hạng 2 thụy sĩ the People’s Committee of Hue city invested in infrastructure for this area in a synchronous, high quality and high aesthetic way, promoting the existing advantages to sensibly exploit and optimally use the infrastructure system for tourism, services, entertainment and walking.

There are many things to complete and complement so as to construct a clean, civilized model business route. The communist Party cells, residential groups, enterprises, household businesses and the locals take collective responsibility and fully execute the regulations on order and security in the area. Specifically, they observe regulations on using the roadsides, decorations, house cleaning, parking, waste disposal as well as on using sounds, publicizing all service prices, guaranteeing food safety, being civilized in serving – behaving attitudes, trading the right products as registered.

At present, on these three streets there are 110 cases using the roadsides for doing business in food, beverage, souvenirs, books, handicrafts, fashions, etc. The sales of household businesses in this area increase remarkably with some households’ sales up by 50% in comparison to the previous time.

After 6 months of operation, the pedestrian quarter attracts a stable number of visitors, around 3,000 to 4,000 arrivals/ night. Thanks to that, revenues from catering services strongly rise. The order and security in the area is also ensured.

Many organizations and music bands have held many cultural and artistic activities, and folk games which attracted many people and left good impressions. For instance, the Youth Union of Phu Hoi ward coordinated with the Social Responsibility Group of Hue Communist Youth Union to hold folk games such as: cau khi (rope bridge), nhay sap (bamboo dancing). The provincial Youth Center held a periodical playground program every last day of a month. Hue Youth Union held the 87^thanniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with the participation of music bands from high schools and colleges. Besides that, there were also programs organized by  many clubs such as: Guitar For you, Du Ca, Bazooka, the art club of University of Sciences, the music club of Hue University of Art, etc.

The operation effects of pedestrian quarter  Pham Ngu lao – Chu Van An – Vo Thi Sau serves as a good start for the 2018 plan. The quarter will be the route linking the parks in the south bank of the Perfume River to Le Loi Street and Nguyen Dinh Chieu pedestrian street, which are under construction with South Korea Government’s nonrefundable capital. This pedestrian route uses Trang Tien Bridge for walking to promote and exploit the parks in the north bank and Dong Ba market to unlock the Perfume River’s potential and value. As a result, it contributes to the development of Hue into a center of culture and tourism in a larger scale.

To strengthen cultural, artistic, recreational activities for the pedestrian quarter and attract more visitors to this place, the Culture and Information Department of Hue city has hold many contemporary music performances at the Chu Van An – Vo Thi Sau crossroads, puppet performances on Pham Ngu Lao street, portrait painting on the sidewalks of Vo Thi Sau street, calligraphy writing on the sidewalks of Chu Van An street and dance sport, hip-hop dance at No 34-36 Vo Thi Sau street.
