This is the great honor not only for Hung but also for the school, for all generations of teachers and students of Quoc Hoc and the education sector of Vietnam," a student of Quoc Hoc said as soon as Hung arrived at the school.

With a good-looking face and a fine smile, Truong Dong Hung partly showed his composure not only in the contest but even when welcomed right in his school. At the reception of the "golden" boy, Mr Pham Van Hung - Director of Thua Thien Hue Department of Education and Training gave flowers to congratulate Hung. "It is the great feeling today for our education sector, for Quoc Hoc High School. Hung is the pride of the nation, bringing glory to the country. Hung has continued  to write the golden history, the golden tradition, the golden list for Quoc Hoc High School... This achievement affirms the efforts of his individual as well as the efforts to educate of many teachers," Mr Hung emphasized.

In the warm welcome of many people, Hung forgot all the tiredness after a long journey on the flights from London (UK) to Noi Bai airport (Hanoi), before returning to Hue. Hung shared: "I am very happy and proud to have brought the international gold medal to the province and the school. Thank you teachers, family and friends have always accompanied me and followed my journey." Talking about this achievement, Hung said: "I always try to learn and to explore. Then, I rearrange the knowledge that I already had."

With Hung, besides the competition, this trip is also an opportunity for him to interact with many international friends. Hung told, he was impressed most to know a lot about the regional cultures of many countries around the world, to exchange not only the biological field, but also many other issues that the global youth care about. In his next plan, Hung intends to study at Biotechnology Department, University of Sciences - Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a discipline that he is passionate about and determined to pursue.

In this competition, Truong Dong Hung gained 55% of practice mark and 75% of theory one, ranked 22^ndof total 245 candidates. This is the highest personal achievement of Vietnamese students participating in an International Biological Olympiad.

The 28^thInternational Biology Olympiad in 2017 was held in London, the United Kingdom, with the participation of 68 countries and territories with a total of 245 candidates, together with 4 countries as observers.
