HÀ NỘI  – President Trần Đại Quang yesterday cabled a message of condolences to his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika over a recent military plane crash which claimed many lives.

An Algerian airplane carrying mostly soldiers crashed near the Boufarik airbase outside Algeria’s capital, Algiers, on Wednesday.

The aircraft went down shortly after takeoff, killing at least 257 people aboard. — VNS
