Both sides sign memorandum on border work

Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Nguyen Dung,nhận định kèo leicester city and Deputy Governor of Salavan - Mr. Phuthong Khammanivong, together with representatives of related departments and localities attended the event.

In the spirit of special friendship between the two provinces, the two sides agreed to appreciate the results achieved in the border work between them in the past. In general, the situation of political security, social order and safety in the border area has always been stable. The people from both sides of the border have well complied with the Vietnam-Laos border regulations. Border protection forces have also maintained good border management and protection.

In order to improve the efficiency of border work, contributing to building a borderline of peace, friendship, stability and development, leaders of the two provinces agreed  to  cooperate on  strengthening border management in the near future; to increase propaganda on the achievement of the upgrade work and the improvement of the international landmark system between the two countries as well as cooperation on border protection. The two sides also agreed to implement the agreement between the two governments on free migration and marriage in the border area, and to cooperate in economic development, trade in border areas, border gates and other related issues.
